learn to appreciate

IF you want to learn to appreciate...
A kiss via skype, putting your puckered up lips to the tiny camera on your laptop and almost feeling like it's real.

If you want to learn to appreciate...
An email, that only says I Love You.
It only says I love you because that is all there was time enough to write.

If you want to learn to appreciate...
An email in general,
telling each other everything you can think of that happened in your day. Rambling on about the little things that mean nothing like a tumbleweed you saw roll across the street. Or something the baby said you nanny for.

If you want to learn to appreciate (and I promise you, you do)
the little quirks about your husband that used to drive you crazy. When he pointed out to you the little things that drove him crazy. Like you putting the toilet paper tube on backwards. Or wising the wrong cleaning supplies to clean a tv.. or even simple as not using your turn signal.

If you want to fall more and more in love then you could have ever imagined. If you want to understand a deeper way of finding each other. If you want to understand what it feels like to let love stretch across nations and how much good you can do for others while you are allowing yourself to grow and change in such a way.

If you want to learn to appreciate how truly blessed you are, how amazing he is, how bright your future is, and how amazing your past has been together.

If you want to learn to appreciate...
Marry a soldier.

If you're already married to/ or with an amazing man like mine.
Thank a soldier.

While you're at it.. thank their wives/fiance's also.
we may be be the ones standing there fighting but we are the ones left alone back here, holding it together and trying constantly to uplift not only ourselves but our men.
